Virginia Academy came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Fredericksburg Christian, but Isaac Holst wouldn't allow it. The Fredericksburg Christian Eagles managed a 62-57 win over the Virginia Academy Patriots on Tuesday thanks to Holst, who went 9-for-14 to rack up 21 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Virginia Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Matthew McLaurin, who scored 21 points, and Rondel Jones Jr., who earned 13 points and six assists. Mike Smith was another key player, putting up seven points and eight boards.

Fredericksburg Christian's record is now 13-9. As for Virginia Academy, they dropped their record down to 13-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
