Softball Recap: Kettle Run Cougars vs. Warren County Wildcats
On Tuesday, the Kettle Run Cougars had just enough and edged the Warren County Wildcats out 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Kettle Run.
Emerson Golden was excellent, going 2-for-4 with a home run. Ryan Drew was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.
Kettle Run's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Warren County, they now have a losing record at 1-2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kettle Run will challenge Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse. As for Warren County, they will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Sherando at 6:00 p.m. Sherando is coming into the contest with five straight wins at home, so Warren County will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
