League recap: Lett powers North Farmington with hot hitting week

Oakland - White league recap: 5/22/13

David Lett was on fire this week, as he led Oakland - White with a .500 average with nine RBIs. North Farmington compiled a record of 8-2 in that time.

Sterling Sharp was the best pitcher in the league this week, leading the Raiders. He picked up two wins and 14 strikeouts.

Groves boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

North Farmington, the league's stolen base leader this season with 81, added to its lead in that category with 38 more steals over the past week.

Ten batters hit over .400 this week. The group was paced by Lucas Almeter, who collected five hits in eight at bats for a .625 average.



The Raiders' Mitch Kramer finished with a league-high two wins over the past week. He is first in the league with four wins overall this season.

Kevin Turner drove in seven runners on Monday in North Farmington's 18-2 victory over the Falcons. He went 3-for-3 and scored three runs.
