Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Victory

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri extended their winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Joachim Burton. The Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Crusaders came out on top against Ozanam by a score of 64-52 on Monday thanks in part to Burton, who posted 29 points and seven rebounds. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points.

Phil Basola was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Despite the loss, Ozanam still got an impressive performance from Damontae Balmat, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Brodie Simons also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Ozanam, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri has already played their next game, a 53-52 victory against Frontier School of Excellence on the 25th. Ozanam does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
