Softball Game Preview: Pearl River Central Blue Devils vs. Gautier Gators + Official Tickets

The Pearl River Central Blue Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Gautier Gators at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gautier took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pearl River Central, who comes in off a win.

Pearl River Central is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 11, 2025 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Hancock. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Meanwhile, Gautier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Pascagoula, falling 9-3.

Deyvianne Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Jaila Rodriguez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Gautier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Pearl River Central, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1.

Everything went Pearl River Central's way against Gautier in their previous matchup back in March of 2017, as Pearl River Central made off with a 9-3 win. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
