Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo Comes Up Short

Cabrillo was the 3-0 winner over Mission College Prep when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Conquistadores fell 3-1 to the Royals on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The 3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-23.

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Mission College Prep, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-14.

Coming up, Cabrillo will host Carpinteria at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mission College Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
