The home team had won the previous two meetings between Campbellsville and Hart County, and Campbellsville kept the tradition alive. The Eagles skirted past the Raiders 3-1. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly two runs.

Riley Underwood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Campbellsville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Call, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Call has hit this season.

Campbellsville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hart County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbellsville will face off against Caverna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
