Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Riverside-Brookfield's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Riverside-Brookfield won the last time they faced Berwyn/Cicero Morton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs snuck past the Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs with a 71-66 win. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Mustangs are ranked 556th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverside-Brookfield has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Berwyn/Cicero Morton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside-Brookfield will venture away from home to square off against Glenbard East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berwyn/Cicero Morton, they will head out on the road to challenge Downers Grove South at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
