Baseball Recap: Janesville's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Janesville waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They beat Collins-Maxwell by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. Considering the Wildcats have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Janesville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Collins-Maxwell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Janesville will venture away from home to square off against Rockford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Collins-Maxwell, they will welcome North Tama at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
