Basketball Recap: Memphis Central Warriors vs. White Station Spartans
After losing to the White Station Spartans the last time they met, the Memphis Central Warriors decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Memphis Central came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 46-39 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Memphis Central.
White Station lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kyndall Reynolds, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zamiya Riley, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Memphis Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which somehow isn't as good as their 13-4 record this season. As for White Station, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memphis Central will challenge the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Overton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for White Station, they will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Memphis East's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
