Baseball Game Preview: Tustin Tillers vs. Sunny Hills Lancers

The Tustin Tillers will head out on the road to square off against the Sunny Hills Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Tustin's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Sunny Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Tustin's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Buena Park as Tustin made off with a 7-0 win. The Tillers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Tustin got a great performance from Jeffery Nesmith as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Tustin's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Adam Whyte, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those runs marked the first that Whyte scored this season. Daniel Benally was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Tustin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Buena Park only managed four hits.

Meanwhile, Sunny Hills can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over Orange.

Cameron Morris was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Girod, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Sunny Hills' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Tustin, their record is now 2-4.
