Baseball Recap: Westlake Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Westlake rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Kaplan Pirates. Considering the Rams have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Westlake's third in a row) raised their record to 24-10. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kaplan, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 21-12 record.

Westlake will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair will be back at it again later today.
