Volleyball Recap: Nipomo Wins Going Away Against Templeton + How To Watch

Nipomo had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Templeton on Tuesday. The Titans put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Titans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Titans were just returning the favor.

While Nipomo won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.

Nipomo can attribute much of their success to Emily Rubalcava, who had seven digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Rubalcava a new career-high.

Nipomo was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in three consecutive matches.

Nipomo has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Templeton, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
