Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Joaquin's 15th in Last 16 Outings

Joaquin had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs 10-4 on Saturday. Considering the Rams have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Ke'Maria Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Webb, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Joaquin is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Corrigan-Camden, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 18-4-1 record.

Joaquin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
