Softball Game Preview: Elmwood/Plum City Wolves vs. Mondovi Buffaloes

The Elmwood/Plum City Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Mondovi Buffaloes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elmwood/Plum City has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 25.

On Monday, Elmwood/Plum City came up short against Durand-Arkansaw and fell 6-2.

Britta Link spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Elmwood/Plum City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Ginsbach, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Mondovi didn't have quite enough to beat Boyceville on Monday and fell 8-7.

Mondovi now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Elmwood/Plum City, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Elmwood/Plum City couldn't quite get it done against Mondovi in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 7-2. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
