Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Webster Thomas' Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Webster Thomas and Victor pushed the score to 12-7 the last time they played Victor, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Titans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Blue Devils a 3-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly three runs.

Webster Thomas has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Victor, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

Looking ahead, Webster Thomas will challenge Irondequoit at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Victor, they will host Brighton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
