Flag Football Recap: Chloe Boyes and Malia Perez Pace Santa Clara Defense

Santa Clara lost against Los Gatos back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bruins took a 33-19 bruising from the Wildcats. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Clara didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chloe Boyes and Malia Perez.

Los Gatos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paige Purcell, who rushed for 62 yards and one score on only seven carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Purcell has posted over her last eight games. Kendall Feichtmeir was in the mix as well, providing Los Gatos with two touchdowns.

Santa Clara now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Los Gatos, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.
