Basketball Recap: Nerinx Hall Takes a Loss

Nerinx Hall played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Burroughs Bombers and fell 66-33. The Markers haven't had much luck with the Bombers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Burroughs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Breaunna Ward led the charge by shooting 88% from the field on her way to 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Ward's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriyah Douglass, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Nerinx Hall's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Burroughs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Nerinx Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burroughs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-30 victory against Lutheran North on the 28th.
