Baseball Recap: Tombstone Comes Up Short

Tombstone came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bisbee Pumas, falling 13-6. The Yellow Jackets haven't had much luck with the Pumas recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Victor Flores was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Ames, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Tombstone now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Bisbee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Tombstone didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-1 defeat against Tanque Verde on the 27th. As for Bisbee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Morenci on the 31st.
