Baseball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Has No Trouble Against North Greene

Chuckey-Doak won the last time they faced North Greene and things went their way on Monday too. The Black Knights were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Huskies. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Jake Hinkle made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Hinkle was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on James Seidl, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Chuckey-Doak's record is now 14-10. As for North Greene, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chuckey-Doak will welcome Cocke County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Greene, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Happy Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of.
