Soccer Recap: Rocky Mount Comes Up Short

Rocky Mount was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Northern Nash Knights. While losing is never fun, Rocky Mount can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Northern Nash are ranked 155th).

Rocky Mount's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Northern Nash, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rocky Mount is set to square off against their familiar foe Nash Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northern Nash will challenge rival Bunn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
