Football Game Preview: Auburn Rockets vs. Shepherd Hill Regional Rams

Two dominant backs in Bradyn Belanger and Devin Rowden are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Auburn Rockets will be playing at home against the Shepherd Hill Regional Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Auburn heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Friday. They lost 20-0 to Gloucester. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Belanger and Joseph Allen. Allen had a solid game and rushed for 77 yards and one score. Meanwhile, Belanger did his best for the losing side, rushing for 103 yards.

Meanwhile, Shepherd Hill Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of Marblehead. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since November 28, 2024.

Auburn will have to contain Aiden Tyler as he made an impact in Shepherd Hill Regional's last game. He picked up 99 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards. Tyler really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 76 yards.

Shepherd Hill Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Auburn suffered a grim 38-16 defeat to Shepherd Hill Regional when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Thankfully for the Rockets, Lucas Welton (who rushed for 157 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries, and also caught one score) won't be suiting up this time.
