Baseball Recap: Blackford Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southwood on Tuesday, Blackford came back down to earth. The Bruins took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Muncie Central Bearcats on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Blackford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corbin Parrott, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Blackford now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Muncie Central, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Blackford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 win against Lewis Cass on the 18th. As for Muncie Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Lafayette Jefferson on the 19th.
