Soccer Game Preview: Springfield vs. Kirkwood

The Springfield Yellow Jackets will take on the Kirkwood Cobras at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Springfield came up short against Hunters Lane on Thursday, falling 9-1.

Meanwhile, Kirkwood came into Thursday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over West Creek on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Kirkwood needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

They hit West Creek with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Grayson Sims (2), Eli Serrano, Israel Ortiz, and Luca Lantz.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kirkwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
