Soccer Recap: Haltom Comes Up Short

Haltom lost against Lamar back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Haltom Buffalos came up short against the Lamar Vikings, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Buffalos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while the Vikings are ranked 156th).

Haltom has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. Lamar has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Haltom is taking a road trip to take on Grand Prairie at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar, they will host South Grand Prairie at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Grand Prairie will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lamar surely won't give up without a fight.
