Volleyball Recap: Coolidge Bears vs. Tonopah Valley Phoenix

Coolidge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tonopah Valley Phoenix.

Coolidge took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 17-25, 25-17, 15-10.

Jordan Hawkins paced Coolidge's offense, picking up eight kills. Hawkins really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. Isabella Diaz controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Coolidge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Tonopah Valley, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-15.

As of now, neither Coolidge nor the Phoenix have any future games scheduled.
