Baseball Game Preview: Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos vs. Del Campo Cougars

For the second straight game, Twelve Bridges will face off against Del Campo. The Raging Rhinos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Things were looking good for Twelve Bridges after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Del Campo by a score of 2-1.

For Del Campo's part, Mitchell Clements spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks. Clements also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Cougars are 6-3 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-9-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Del Campo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Placencia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Placencia has posted since back in March.

The win (which was Del Campo's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Twelve Bridges, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.
