Baseball Game Preview: DeSoto County Bulldogs vs. Lemon Bay Manta Rays

DeSoto County hasn't had much luck against Lemon Bay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. DeSoto County will host Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m.

DeSoto County blew Bayshore out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Bayshore got their revenge. DeSoto County fell just short of Bayshore by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since February 25th.

Meanwhile, Lemon Bay got the win against Cypress Lake on Friday by a conclusive 12-3. Considering the Manta Rays have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

This is the second loss in a row for DeSoto County and nudges their season record down to 6-13. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Lemon Bay, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.
