Football Game Preview: West End Patriots vs. Cold Springs Eagles

Two dominant signal callers in Jaxon Hamby and Ayden Black are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West End Patriots will head out to challenge the Cold Springs Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: West End has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Cold Springs will arrive with three straight victories.

West End's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Vinemont on Friday. They were dealt a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The shutout was out of character for the Patriots seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Cold Springs on Friday. They put the hurt on Lynn with a sharp 36-12 win. Those 36 points were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

West End's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cold Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

West End ended up a good deal behind Cold Springs when the teams last played back in October of 2024, losing 26-12. Thankfully for the Patriots, Matt Williams (who rushed for 230 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
