Football Game Preview: Lamar Silver Foxes vs. Wagener-Salley War Eagles + How To Watch

The Lamar Silver Foxes will square off against the Wagener-Salley War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lamar is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Lamar is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Calhoun Falls Charter to the tune of 49-0. The Silver Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 26 points or more this season.

Nygel Eaddy was his usual excellent self, rushing for 126 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112 rushing yards. Kamil McCoy also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lamar was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 291 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 233 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Wagener-Salley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Dixie on Friday, but they still walked away with a 14-9 victory.

Lamar better keep an eye on Jaden Collins. He was instrumental in Wagener-Salley's win, rushing for 82 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one TD.

Wagener-Salley's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Lamar, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything went Lamar's way against Wagener-Salley when the teams last played back in November of 2020, as Lamar made off with a 52-28 win. Do the Silver Foxes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the War Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
