Softball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-0 to the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 13-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Mahomet-Seymour, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

MacArthur and Mahomet-Seymour could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Generals (ranked 573rd) will meet Rochester (ranked 43rd) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mahomet-Seymour will challenge St. Joseph-Ogden at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (317 vs. 93).
