Softball Game Preview: Franklin Quakers vs. Cleveland Eagles

Franklin hasn't had much luck against Cleveland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Franklin had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 26-run drubbing they dealt Foster last Thursday. The Quakers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 30-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Quakers, who have now won four matches by 15 runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Ingraham, falling 26-10.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Franklin took their victory against Cleveland in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 18-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Quakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
