There's no place like home for Galena, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Verona Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The Bears not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

Galena not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Verona between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-15.

Mel Rice paced Galena's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rice got some help from Ava Watson and her 17 assists. Watson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Galena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. As for Verona, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Galena will venture away from home to face off against Crane at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Verona, they will welcome Everton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
