The North Central Knights will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Camden Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

Last Wednesday, North Central was able to grind out a solid win over Camden, taking the game 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Mackenzie Melton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Addie Bittner was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Josie Jackson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-4.

North Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Camden is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for North Central, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Camden's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. North Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Camden, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 strikeouts. Will North Central keep running through batters, or will Camden buck the trend?
