Fairview posted their closest victory since April 13, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Girard Yellowjackets 3-2. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 8-4 win the Yellowjackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Fairview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Girard, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairview is set to face off against their familiar foe Northwestern at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Girard will square off against rival Cathedral Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
