Basketball Recap: Plaquemine Takes a Loss

Plaquemine was the 64-28 winner over GEO Next Generation when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Green Devils took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday.

GEO Next Generation can attribute much of their success to Jakyi Frank, who posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Anderson Smith, who had seven points and ten boards.

Plaquemine's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for GEO Next Generation, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Plaquemine will head out to face off against Live Oak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for GEO Next Generation, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-34 win against White Castle on the 26th.
