Volleyball Game Preview: Harrison Blue Tide vs. St. Peter's Prep Marauders

The Harrison Blue Tide will be taking part in a tournament against the St. Peter's Prep Marauders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Harrison is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Jersey's top teams: Fair Lawn, who was ranked 20th at the time (Harrison was ranked ninth). The Blue Tide fell just short of the Cutters by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Harrison sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 29-27, 23-25, 25-22.

Harrison's defeat came about despite a quality game from Brayan Andrade, who had 18 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, St. Peter's Prep came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Patriots.

St. Peter's Prep pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Harrison, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-2.

Harrison was able to grind out a solid win over St. Peter's Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Blue Tide repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
