Recap: Theodore Bobcats vs. Saraland Spartans
It was a good run, but The Theodore Bobcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 42-13 loss at the hands of Saraland. Theodore was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
Saraland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Williams, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 27 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Arterus Moffett made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Theodore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Saraland, their win was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Theodore will face off against St. Paul's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (St. Paul's Episcopal is ranked 36th, while Theodore is ranked 28th). As for Saraland, they will head out on the road to face off against McGill-Toolen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
