Football Recap: Bruton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bruton played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Poquoson Islanders. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Islanders are ranked 85th).

James Carlyle-Greene threw for 100 yards on five of 11 attempts. Khalon Murrell was his top target, picking up 84 receiving yards and one TD.

Bruton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Poquoson, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bruton will take on York at 7:00 p.m. on November 7. As for Poquoson, they will face off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on November 7. The Islanders will need to watch out since the Packers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
