Soccer Game Preview: Hendersonville vs. Hardin Valley Academy

The Hendersonville Commandos are taking a road trip to challenge the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Hendersonville sitting on four straight wins and Hardin Valley Academy on five.

Hendersonville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Franklin, who was ranked first at the time (Hendersonville was ranked 18th). The Commandos never let the Admirals get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday.

Bearden typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Hardin Valley Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that Hardin Valley Academy have won by just one goal.

Hendersonville's win bumped their record up to 15-7-1. As for Hardin Valley Academy, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3-3.

Hendersonville came out on top in a nail-biter against Hardin Valley Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2017, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Commandos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
