            Softball Recap: Chewelah Cougars vs. Reardan Screaming Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Chewelah ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Reardan Screaming Eagles by a score of  16-13. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Chewelah got a  massive  performance out of  Faith Knight, who  scored four  runs and  stole seven bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. Those  four  runs gave  Knight a new career-high.  Tarynn Carlson was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing six bases while going 2-for-3.
 Chewelah  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 24  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least ten  hits in six consecutive  contests.
Chewelah picked up their first road  win, bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Reardan, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
Chewelah will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Screaming Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday.
