Recap: Bound Brook Crusaders vs. Dayton Bulldogs
Make it seven blowout wins for the Bound Brook Crusaders this season. They breezed by Dayton on the road to the tune of 70-43. Given Bound Brook's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Dayton is ranked 309th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malcolm Jackson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Pecana, who scored 13 points.
Bound Brook's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Dayton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bound Brook will take on People's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dayton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Koinonia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Koinonia Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
