Volleyball Recap: Meade Takes a Loss

Meade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bucklin Red Aces. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Meade sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 23-25, 25-21.

Kenadie Alexander paced Meade's offense, picking up 11 kills. Alexander got some help from Sayler Stapleton and her 20 assists. Stapleton also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Joslyn Helus, each putting up two.

Meade now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Bucklin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Meade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Spearville on the 23rd. As for Bucklin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Satanta on the 30th.
