The Carver Yellowjackets won the last time they faced the Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix, and things went their way on Friday too. Carver was the clear victor by a 34-12 margin over Winston-Salem Prep.
Carver found their leader in underclassman Antonio Samuels, who rushed for 62 yards and four touchdowns.
Carver's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Winston-Salem Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Carver will head out on the road to face off against Mountain Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Heritage is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. Winston-Salem Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
