Basketball Recap: Mancelona Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Jordan, Mancelona was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 49-41 victory over the St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds. This was a revenge game for the Ironmen: when they faced off against the Snowbirds back in January, they had to take a 53-42 loss.

Mancelona has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for St. Mary Cathedral, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mancelona has already played their next contest (against Inland Lakes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Mary Cathedral will take on North Michigan Christian Academy at 7:00 a.m. on Monday.
