String Theory's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over the Constitution Generals. String Theory might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.
Annamae Uhl made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off four hits. Uhl was also big at the plate, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Alexa Pietrafesa was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Cadence Williams was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.
String Theory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .681. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got String Theory back to even at 6-6. As for Constitution, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
String Theory wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-5 win against MAST Charter II on the 23rd. As for Constitution, they will head out on the road to square off against Masterman at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Masterman has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.86 runs per game on average), something Constitution will no doubt try to take advantage of.
