After losing to Ragsdale the last time they met, Northwest Guilford decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vikings came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday.

Jay Eckard looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Gram Kerley was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Carter Sheridan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Northwest Guilford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Ragsdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ragsdale beat Northwest Guilford by a score of 7-2 on Friday.
