Briggs won the last time they faced West and Mali Woods-Laws did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bruins took down the Cowboys 58-42 on Friday thanks in part to Woods-Laws, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 20 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 13 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Te'Asia Ray, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and six steals. She has become a key player for Briggs: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 2-3 otherwise.

Despite the loss, West still got an impressive performance from Fardowsa Haji, who shot 60% from beyond the arc on her way to 34 points. That was a full 81% of the Cowboys' points, marking the third time in a row Haji has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Briggs' record now sits at 7-3. As for West, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Briggs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-34 loss against Licking Heights on the 22nd. West and Meadowdale will round out the year against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
