Baseball Recap: Del Norte Triumphs

Del Norte let San Pasqual stack five runs on them in the fifth inning on Saturday but luckily Del Norte prevailed anyway. The Nighthawks skirted past the Golden Eagles 6-5. The Nighthawks haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Liam O'Day was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Sun, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Del Norte's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for San Pasqual, they dropped their record down to 14-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Del Norte is set to face off against their familiar foe Mt. Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, San Pasqual will square off against rival Mission Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
