Softball Recap: Milwaukee Bradley Tech Takes a Loss

Milwaukee Bradley Tech extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They lost 29-5 to Riverside University/Meir. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Riverside University/Meir this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in April.

As for Riverside University/Meir, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Riverside University/Meir's part, they let Chaeli Gutzmann and Bella Martinez run wild. Gutzmann went 4-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Martinez went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Martinez continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Izzy Alvarado was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Milwaukee Bradley Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverside University/Meir, they will face off against Waukesha South at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside University/Meir are facing the Blackshirts at the right time seeing as the Blackshirts are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
